Children's Ministry

Purpose

House of Oaks Ministries (HOOM) exists to know God and make Him known, sharing His love for the lost and compassion to those in need. We are partnering with churches and organizations to meet needs and empower people to find wholeness for their lives and community. In accordance with this mission, there are four primary purposes for conducting our childrens ministry:

1. To promote spiritual wholeness among children and families in Tukwila

2. To provide quality care for children while promoting academic readiness, social responsibility, and life skill development

3. To develop and build relationships with children, families, and community organizations

4. To mobilize people of faith and people of goodwill for ministry and service in the city through partnership and volunteer opportunities

Participants

Children entering grades K through 5 may participate. We typically serve 10 - 15 kids. Our focus neighborhood is the greater Tukwila area where several communities meet, including Sea-Tac, Foster, Riverton Heights, Boulevard Park, and Allentown. Children who attend the HOOM Childrens Church come to the HOOM general Sunday service with their parents or guardians. They are dismissed from the general Sunday service and convene for Children's Church.
